Course Title: Heavy Glass Entrance Systems

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the types of glass approved for use in all-glass entrance and door systems, both interior and exterior. Includes insulating all-glass doors, energy codes, and NFRC ratings for custom insulating glass doors.

• Review the National Glass Association's Heavy Glass Door Guide, including applicable codes, limitations, and maximum size recommendations.

• Gain familiarity with types of frameless door access hardware including panic handles, magnetic locks, and passage locks.

• Identify code considerations for panic handles and door controls, with reference to building/fire codes (ANSI/BHMA) and health/safety standards.
