Education

LACSI offers education programs for architects, specifiers, engineers, contractors, manufacturer’s representatives, construction managers, and others interested in continuing their professional development. AIA LU/HSU and IDP credits are offered at most education programs. For additional information on upcoming education programs visit our Events section and the LACSI Calendar.

Our typical yearly schedule includes the following programs:

In early January, in the odd years, we organize a 5-hour seminar on Disabled Access. This seminar allows California architects to satisfy the state licensure requirement for ADA coursework.

From January to the end of March, we hold classes in preparation of the CSI Certification exams. For more information, see under Certification Programs.

In February, we sponsor the education seminars at the LACSI Nite Product Show. These seminars take on a theme which changes from year to year.

In April, May, and June, we schedule various seminars on the latest code or legal issues, and in the fall, in alternate years, we hold a half day seminar on Construction Administration.

July is our month for a tour of a local manufacturing or fabrication facility, or a building site.

Watch our calendar and events section for upcoming seminars. If you have an idea for a seminar that you would like us to organize, please email your ideas to Kin Lee, Education Co-Chair.

We look forward to seeing you at our events!
