Institute Awards
The Institute offers awards for excellence in the preparation of project manuals and product catalogs. Awards are presented for outstanding contributions to education, advances in technology, and service to the Institute.

It is with GREAT pleasure that I announce to you that LACSI has been selected to receive the following Institute Awards:

Outstanding Chapter Commendation (Bronze): for 2006-2007 (our Sixth year in a row) (yeah Craig)

This is a phenomenal achievement and I want to most heartily thank all of the people that made this possible for our Chapter. Especially we thank the people listed below who recieved Chapter Awards and Becky (our Awards Chair) who orchestrated the award submissions. The inspiration and dedication of ALL of our volunteers is fabulous and it is our teamwork as a Chapter that makes us strong and so supportive of one another, the West Region, and CSI nationwide. Wilbur Johnston Memorial Award: Marilyn Smith, CSI, CCS, AIA, SCIP, for notable contributions in construction sciences, specifications, and education to the Los Angeles Chapter, the West Region, and the Institute.  

Director’s Certificate of Appreciation: Valarie Harris, FCSI for contributions toward the growth of the Los Angeles Chapter by more than 3%
