Learn how Paul Murdoch, AIA, developed the idea for the 93-foot tall tower, the Flight 93 Memorial’s final phase of construction. The Tower of Voices features 40 wind activated chimes. Paul Murdoch Architects, in association with Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, was selected in 2005 by the National Park Service from 1,100 entries in an international competition to design the Flight 93 National Memorial. This presentation will focus on the design and implementation of the multi-phased project over the last 12 years on a 2,200-acre national park site near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Paul Murdoch Architects is an architectural design studio with a diverse portfolio of award-winning work recognized for vision, quality and rigor in unique, highly tailored solutions to a wide range of 21st century challenges, particularly in the public realm.
