Mugavero, Director of Capital Construction Development, CSI, AIA will artfully meet the challenges of renovating the historic Los Angeles Coliseum. Find out how the iconic stadium’s character will be maintained while making it a world class sports event center. The iconic site of past Olympic games and the current home for both the Los Angeles Rams and the USC Trojan football team started renovations in 2017. The renovation will continue while the stadium is in use, and is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2019 home game opener. The project will include replacement of all stadium seats, restoration of the iconic Coliseum peristyle, a new Scholarship Club Tower, including suites, loge boxes, club seats, a new concourse and press box, new concession stands, replacement of all infrastructure systems and current standards at a cost of $270 million funded by USC Athletics donations and gifts.
